.. _Asec-predefinedmaterial: .. _sec-appendix-predefinedmaterial: Predefined materials ================================================== This appendix lists the predefined materials that can be used with the **@...@** notation described in :ref:`sec-predefined-material`. The complete list is also provided as the index file ``predefined_material_index.csv`` in the ``data`` folder of the PHITS package. For each material, the table below shows its descriptive name, the available alias names (any one of which can be written between **@** in the **[material]** section), the state, the density in g/cm\ :sup:`3`, the thermal neutron scattering data name :math:`S(\alpha,\beta)`, the ``dedxfile`` of the stopping-power data, and the elemental composition given as the (negative) partial densities in g/cm\ :sup:`3`. The :math:`S(\alpha,\beta)` and ``dedxfile`` columns are blank when none is assigned; when present, the corresponding **MT** and **dedxfile** lines are added automatically upon expansion (see :ref:`sec-predefined-material`). The ``gas`` flag is omitted from the composition column since it is indicated by the state column. The material name written in ``[]`` and the ``name`` parameter of each material are also registered as alias names; since spaces are not allowed in alias names, spaces in these parameters are replaced with ``_``. Alias names are searched case-insensitively. The predefined material data are based on the material list included in Flair [#pdm_flair]_ , together with the three types of standard concrete used in Japan and the United States [#pdm_concrete_jp]_ [#pdm_concrete_anl]_ . .. csv-table:: List of predefined materials :file: predefined_material_list.csv :header: "Name", "Aliases", "State", "Density (g/cm³)", "S(α,β)", "dedxfile", "Composition (g/cm³)" :widths: 14, 26, 6, 9, 8, 12, 25 :class: longtable ..
